Northern Universities Public Health Alliance
Northern Universities Public Health Alliance
The Northern Universities’ Public Health Alliance (NUPHA) is a voluntary organisation with aims to work together as a Northern academic public health community.
Membership is open to all professionals aligning themselves to public health research, teaching and capacity building activities from Higher Education Institutions and other related professional bodies/organisations from the North of England (PHE regions of the Yorkshire and Humber, North East and North West).
Since July 2018, the NHSA has committed to supporting the work of NUPHA in order to support the academic and clinical public health expertise across the North of England. This will include identifying programmes and initiatives through which the NHSA and NUPHA can collaborate in developing public health research.
Plans are currently underway to appoint a steering committee who will oversee the strategic direction of the Alliance with representation from all Northern regions.
NUPHA is currently developing its website which will include information on all members and their activities. In the meantime if you would like to know more about the work of NUPHA, please contact hannah.davies@theNHSA.co.uk
