The Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) North showcase is a scientific showcase held by the ECMC North, six northern ECMC (Liverpool, Belfast, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester). The inaugural showcase will be held at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle on the 15th March and issponsored by the NHSA.
The day will start with plenary lectures by Ian Walker (CRUK) on expectations from the ECMC network, and Fabrice Andrew (IGR, Paris), on the changing face of Phase 1.
This will be followed by talks from Senior Investigators from each centre presenting a notable piece of translational science. The afternoon session will include short presentations from two junior investigators from each centre (one clinical, one non-clinical) and a poster session.
This is a great opportunity to find out about the work being carried out in the ECMC North centres, and a great opportunity for younger investigators to network.
