Dr Yadi comments on the awarding of two of five LHCRE bids to the North of England

Dr Hakim Yadi CEO of the Northern Health Science Alliance said: “The Northern Health Science Alliance is delighted that the North of England’s excellence in Data and Digital Health has been recognised by the awarding of two out of five Local Health and Care Record Exemplar (LHCRE) shared records pilot projects in Manchester and now Yorkshire and Humber.
“The North of England has unquestionably demonstrated it is leading the way in this field – which does not only include these LHCRE bids but other, ground-breaking work in projects such as Connected Health Cities, which includes the Great North Care record in the North East of England, and projects across the North West Coast. It also further supports our recent Northern Powerhouse in Health Research Science and Innovation Audit that is focused on health data for research.
“We hope that the excellence demonstrated in all areas of North of England in health data continues to be supported by Government for the benefit of patients nationally.”
