NHSA newsletter: July
Unlocking the North's potential, international events, roundtables, party conferences and more…
4th July 2019
Welcome to our latest NHSA newsletter.
No doubt you may have seen on our social media platforms that we currently have a job vacancy for a Head of Corporate Engagement. The closing date for the vacancy is 24th July 2019 and you can find full details on how to apply below.
There are lots of updates from the NHSA team after another busy month and plenty more exciting plans on the horizon.
Building on the continued momentum of the Health for Wealth report, we have maximised opportunities to share the report findings and recommendations and to rally support from key health leaders and political figures.
In the last few weeks, our Head of External and Public Affairs, Hannah Davies, has highlighted the stark North/South health inequalities at a OneHealth Tech event in Manchester, discussed the potential of unlocking the North’s R&D capabilities with Cabinet Minister David Lidington and took part in an IPPR roundtable on Economic Prosperity.
We’re also hosting an NHSA Health for Wealth Roundtable event at Westminster in September, as well as fringe events at both the Conservative and Labour Party conferences.
We’re continuing to strengthen international links with activity over the recent and coming months taking members of the team to the USA, Barcelona, China and planning has already started when later in the year activity will take us to Japan. Full details on all these international events can be found below, along with additional updates on the Big Tent Ideas Festival and our latest NHSA blog on innovation through hackathons, courtesy of Lisa Butland.
I hope you enjoy the newsletter.
Many best wishes,
Nicki

Nicola Wilson, Interim Chief Executive Officer, the NHSA
