Repurposing Medicines programmes identify and progress opportunities to use existing medicines in new ways.

The NHSA is fully committed to participation in national initiatives that support the repurposing of medicines. A national workshop held in January 2023 was the second in a series of events, and representatives from the NHSA participated in this. Whilst it is still early days for this initiative nationally, the North has a seat at the table as this develops, and opportunities will naturally evolve for the NHSA and its members to become further involved in programmes.
